Michael O’hAodain is a college lecturer at the School of Applied Social Studies at the National University of Ireland, University College Cork, where he is a member of the B.Soc.Sc. (youth & community work) course team. Before joining UCC in 2002, Micheal worked as a Garda, including fifteen years spent in community policing in Cork City. His research interests include:
- youth work in Ireland;
- exploring the experiences of older people in suburban community settings; and
- looking at the experiences of non-traditional students in Third Level Education in Ireland.
