Dr Marguerite Hughes

Marguerite Hughes, Doctor of Social Science, UCCDr Marguerite Hughes worked in the logistics department of the aid agency GOAL between 1999 and 2009 and consecutively served in a variety of voluntary capacities for other charities. She commenced the DSocSc in 2007 and graduated in 2012 with a thesis entitled Irish Times coverage of Irish relief and development nongovernmental organisations, legitimacy and accountability, 1994-2009: analysis and implications for the role of nongovernmental organisations. Since then Marguerite has resumed her involvement in nonprofit organisations and is currently on the Boards of the Prader Willi Syndrome Association of Ireland and the Galway Educate Together Second Level Group.
