Dermot Kavanagh is Chief Executive of Cork Simon Community since 2011 and previously worked with Merchants Quay Ireland. He joined the DSocSc programme in 2007 and the working title of his thesis is “Addressing Homelessness through Partnership: Discourse, Power and the Voluntary Sector. Dermot’s academic background is in psychology and he holds a B.A. and an M.A. in Applied Psychology from UCC.
