The practitioner doctorate for social science professionals
David Williams (Year 4)
David works as a lecturer in the Department of Social Sciences in Dublin Institute of Technology and completed the DSocSc in 2015. David’s study focused on the experiences of the biological children of foster families.
“I have found the DSoc in UCC to be a wonderful experience with a huge amount of group and individual support to help students complete their qualification. The group learning environment is really helpful in helping students develop and initiate ideas for projects and reserach, whilst also provding practical support during the four years of the programme. I have hugely enjoyed my time on the DSocSc and in UCC and would recommend it to anyway looking to develop a practice based level 10 qualification.”
